Funeral arrangements set for Creston family
Apr 10, 2018A visitation is set for Friday at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston for 41-year-old Kevin Sharp and his wife, 38-year-old Amy Sharp, and their children, 12-year-old Sterling and 7-year-old Adrianna.A Mexican prosecutor says a gas leak in a water heater is suspected of killing them inside their rented condominium in Tulum. Their bodies were found Friday.The family was reported missing by relatives about a week after they left for vacation.The funeral home's website lists the following information:Celebration of Life Memorial Services for Kevin Sharp, Amy Sharp, Sterling Sharp and Adrianna Sharp, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Southwestern Community College Gymnasium in Creston.Pastor Mary O'Riley and Pastor Rick Titus will officiate.Burial will be private at Graceland Cemetery, south of Creston.Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 30 at the Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Ave. in Creston.In lieu of flowers, memorials are for a SWCC Scholarship, the Creston Basketball Association, the Creston Softball & Baseball League, the Padded Football League, the Creston Brownie Troop 971 and the Creston Boy Scouts.People attending the service are asked to dress in comfortable, everyday clothes, including Iowa, Iowa State or other college, sports and racing apparel.
